System Speedypick AIR

The further development as a wireless system:

Speedypick AIR is the wireless innovation for supporting picking processes. Speedypick AIR offers a wide range of possible uses in both stationary and mobile warehouse areas and applications.

The radio-controlled Speedypick AIR operates in the 868MHz band. The patented radio protocol "SpeedyCos" was developed for energy-efficient implementation and the associated long battery runtimes.

The number of Speedypick access points can be adapted to the demand and is only limited by the occupancy of the radio channel.

All information in detail

Speedypick AIR, more than a pick-by-light system

The greatest innovation and value creation begins with commissioning. Expert knowledge for planning and installation is not necessary. Instead: register Speedypick access point(s) in the operational network(s) and insert batteries in the radio modules. After selecting the radio network in the display of the radio module, it registers in the user interface of the Speedypick AIR driver software and can now be linked to the storage location. The different mounting options allow the radio display to be exchanged with another storage location. It does not matter whether the storage location is a mobile picking trolley or a container.

With Speedypick AIR you secure decisive competitive advantages for the success of your company!

Convincing technical features

  • spatial assignments of the radio displays, e.g. Hall 1, Hall 2, etc.
  • active switching in groups
  • status and assignment of the radio displays, e.g. battery status
  • status and assignment of access points
  • identification of all access points and radio displays are displayed
  • the firmware of the radio displays and the access points can be updated via the Speedypick management software
  • operating system: Windows, Linux
  • controllable via JSON-RPC
  • user interface via web browser

Speedypick AIR operates in the 868 MHz band.

The radio protocol "SpeedyCoS" was specially developed and patented for this system. Secure data transmission, good range and a fast response with low battery consumption are, in addition to the change-of-location detection, essential system features of Speedypick AIR. Up to 100 radio displays can be managed by one Speedypick access point, whereby the number of access points is only limited by the occupancy of the radio channel. The radio range is typ. 100 m in free field, in buildings individual.

The Speedypick management software controls the customer application via its JSON-RPC interface!

The Speedypick management software represents the interface between the customised application and the Speedypick AIR hardware. In the user interface (web UI) of the Speedypick management software, it is possible to connect both the wireless displays and the access points to the system, to remove them from the system or to configure them. Another important point is the management of the wireless displays. In the management software, the wireless displays are assigned to an access point. If the wireless displays are used mobile, the software takes over the task of roaming and changes the assignment of the wireless displays to the access points during operation. Very important: By continuously assigning IDs, a wireless display can be exchanged without changing the user software.

Small housing, large matrix display and extremely bright LEDs.

The radio display is installed in a robust, easy-care polycarbonate housing. The front panel is continuous and thus insensitive to dirt. The large, high-contrast matrix display is very easy to read. The light from the red, yellow and green LEDs is directed directly onto the front panel via lenses. Even from a greater distance and from a sharp angle, the signal is easy to see.
For connecting a switch, e.g. for triggering a replenishment order, the radio display is optionally available with an industrial mini I/O socket. The removal of a radio display is compulsorily detected by a tamper contact. This makes misuse more difficult.
Two versions of holders are available: The first variant is for screwing or gluing. The second variant is the attachment with a magnetic holder to a metallic, magnetic surface. This variant is always recommended if the radio displays are to be used very flexibly for different storage locations.

The Speedypick access point for the network.

The Speedypick Access Point receives the data packets from the wireless display and sends them via the network to the Speedypick management software. It also delivers the data packets to the radio displays provided for this purpose. A maximum of 100 wireless displays can be managed per access point.
